Cross-border payouts lets you pay sellers, freelancers, content creators, and service providers in their local currencies, regardless of where they are located.

Choose your integration

Cross-border payouts allows Connect platforms and marketplaces to pay out connected accounts in countries where the platform doesn’t locally acquire. Alternatively, Global payouts allows any business to pay out internationally. Select the following cross-border payout integration option that matches your business model and use case.

Availability

Platforms based in the United States, United Kingdom, EEA, Canada, and Switzerland can transfer funds to connected accounts located in any of these same regions. For example:

A platform in the UK can pay a seller in the US.
A platform in Germany can pay a seller in Canada.

Stripe doesn’t support self-serve cross-border payouts to countries outside the listed regions. Contact sales to discuss alternatives.

Pricing

Each cross-border payout incurs a 0.25% fee to cover regulatory and processing costs. Fees are waived (0%) for payouts sent between the UK and the EEA, or within the EEA.

Limitations

Service agreement: You must use the Full service agreement for your connected accounts. If you require the Recipient Service Agreement, use Global payouts.
Supported funds flows: Cross border payments supports the following funds flows
- Separate charges and transfers without on_behalf_of
- Top-ups and transfers
- Destination charges without on_behalf_of
